The Organ-pipe
Cactus (species Lemairocereus, or Cereus, thurberi) is a member of the
Cactaceae family and is native
to Arizona. This cactus gets its name from the fact that it
branches at the bottom to form several columns which look
like organ-pipes. The size of these cacti vary from 2 to 3
meters tall in shrubby thickets to 12 meters tall in treelike
thickets.
