Turquoise is an opaque or translucent sky-blue or greenish blue precious stone. It is hydrated Copper Aluminum phosphate, CuAl6(PO4)4(OH)8.5H20, with a triclinic crystal structure. The SEM-EDX and PIXE analysis confirmed the presence of Cu, P and Al in the turquoise sample.
