The fungus beetle is of the insect family Mycetophagidae (order Coloptera).
Hairy fungus beetles are small, oval and mostly black or brown.
Sometimes they have orange or red markings. Their length ranges
between 1.5 and 5.5 mm ( 0.06 and 0.2 inch).They feed and live on
fungi or tree bark.
