The crawfish, also known as crayfish, is a close relative to the lobster, however, the crawfish is found in freshwater such as ponds and streams.  Crawfish are usually a brownish green and can grow to 3in - 4in in length.  They are scavengers feeding on decayed organic material and small fish.  Crayfish are generally not eaten except in some Louisiana areas.
