Rayon
is a man-made fiber that is created from the
plant substance cellulose. Once cellulose has been
collected from soft woods or cotton seeds, it is
converted to a liquid compound and then to a fiber,
which we call rayon. Rayon can often be seen in
women's clothing, upholstery, and footwear.
